Face Lift and 10 Truths

I finally sat down today and figured out how to do something more interesting with my blog layout. I liked what I had before, but it was pretty plain, so, I kept the same theme but scrapped it up a bit. What do you think?

And I've been honored by Lindsay with a little award/tag. I'm supposed to tell 10 truths. I'm not sure these are things you really want to know...but here you go:

1. I'm good at getting my laundry washed and dried every week, but horrible about putting it away. Right now there are 3 baskets of clean laundry that need to be put away.

2. I recently tried to read Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austin because I was feeling guilty that all I read is "escape fiction". I got halfway through and was so bored out of my mind that I rented the move and I LOVED the movie.

3. I hate shopping. HATE it.

4. I am a junk food junkie.

5. I have not slept for more than 3 hours straight in 3.5 years. My kids are both terrible sleepers. I'm tired.

6. I am madly in love with my husband.

7. I thought I would hate blogging when I started, but I actually really like it.

8. On the surface I'm not a very competitive person, but on the inside I'm insanely competitive. I can't even watch the BYU/Utah football game because the loathing I feel for the BYU team and their fans is not good for my soul. (Go Utes 13-0!)

9. I love to sing and took voice lessons for 5 years, but have not performed a solo for almost 2 years.

10. I have to go to an event for my job next month and will be away from my family for 2 nights. While I'm sure I will miss them, I am VERY excited to have a couple of nights to myself!

There you go, more than you ever wanted to know! And I pass this on to anyone who feels they need a little more honesty in their lives!

Your blog looks great to me but this is my first visit:)
I enjoyed reading this list and learning about you. I don't know how you are making it on so little sleep.

I love the new look! I am trying to do something cool with my blog too, but have not yet come across a design/idea I like.

I hate folding laundry too. I just dump it on Zeke's change table till it piles so high it falls over and I am forced to sort it out.

I can't believe you still aren't getting more sleep, I guess Lucy is still little. Jackson was a terrible sleeper as well, but he's finally been sleeping through the night for a couple of months. I'll stop complaining now. Good luck!

Sounds like #10 will help you with #5 and you can sleep longer. I say let them cry! I was so tired I had to. It only takes a few times (bad the first night or two, better every day after) and if you don't give in then you get peaceful sleep-very worth it! I wasn't sleeping for 9 months with Alyssa because of her allergies that would wake her up all in pain. I couldn't ignore that. But once she had her medical stuff taken care of she sleeps. You'll hate me (not just because I like BYU) but both my girls sleep at least 12 hours each night... 8pm to 8am or so...in the same room! (I know! Crazy huh!) Not trying to rub it in, just saying that if they know what you expect (them to sleep) then you are more likely to get it. Now I will step down from the soap box! lol
Also, Sister Terry is looking for people to sing in sacrament meeting...should we let the secret get out? he he he ;)

YES! You should let the "secret" out that Natalie can sing! She's incredible. And not just 'cause I'm her mom. When she was a tot, she was a born performer. Couldn't carry a note. We never told her. It would have broken her heart. So, as she grew older, we just kept putting her in classes or giving her lessons. I've never known anyone to work so hard on something they really wanted. And guess what? She learned to sing. Beautifully. One of my proudest moments was having her visit me in Santa Fe and singing at the piano bar. (Opps, am I not supposed to say that? Does that make you a bar singer, honey?) Anyway, ask her to sing...
