Lucy Mae is 6 Months Old

Sorry I haven't posted lately, it just seems nothing terribly exciting has been happening. Brad has been more infuriating than funny, so I haven't wanted to share too much of what he has to say. He's in a "testing boundaries" phase and it's not too fun.

One exciting thing has happened and that is that Lucy turned 6 months old on Friday! Happy Half-Birthday to Lucy! I took her to the doctor today and she's 15 lbs 3 oz and 26.5 inches long. The doctor said she's "perfect". She's been laughing and screeching a lot and is a very fun little girl. She's eating oatmeal and bananas and I think we'll let her try some mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving.

On Friday night during the big game (Go Utes!) I went shopping. I just cannot stand to watch that game. I want the Utes to win SO bad that I just can't stand it if it's even close. Those Cougar fans are so dang cocky and I can't handle it. Anyway, I went shopping and just checked the score on my blackberry. I found the cutest outfit for Lucy including a hat. I've decided she's a hat girl. On Sunday I got her all dressed up and took some 6-month-old pictures of her. I think these are the first portraits I've taken that I'm really excited about. There are 3 different pictures, but edited a couple of different ways each. I would really love to hear which is your favorite!

My favorite? you're kidding right? Oh my gosh, they are all beautiful... and I'm not a bit prejudice. What a georgous beauty. Rhonda says she could do baby commercials. Wow. Hugs and kisses!

It's too hard to pick a favorite! (I have one of Karah when she was little and I couldn't decide between B&W, sepia and color so I ended up printing all three-sad huh!) In the fourth one play with the contrast a little (up it a tiny bit) and it will make her pop more. I think. It doesn't need it but you can play and see if you like it. It will make the lines more sharp and her eyes a little darker. I love how you desaturated it a little! She is a doll-I am so glad I got to see her in that outfit Sunday! What a cutie! (I don't really know what I am doing with pictures I just play and it's fun!)

She is absolutely adorable! I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried. I didn't realize how much of a chunker Aaron is until I read how much she weighs.

I really like the first picture and the third picture. I can't believe she is 6 months already, heck I can't believe Lincoln is almost here.

Okay so I love the pictures (I am totally jealous of your camera by the way -- I dream of having it someday :). Anyway, I love both poses, and I love the coloring on the 4th one down. It kind of gives a more professional look, although they look professional anyway. By the way, when I was pregnant with my last baby, and didn't know the sex, we liked the name Lucy for a girl. I think I already told you that. Even crazier is that I was thinking of the middle name Mae, because I have an Amelia Fae, and thought Lucy Mae would be perfect. How crazy is that? She is beautiful.
